How we handle your information.

Privacy statement

Your information, handled the way you'd expect from your accountant.

Thompson Daly Chartered Accountants Limited collects and handles personal information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. This statement covers information collected through this website.

What we collect through this website

When you submit the contact form, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), preferred office, and your enquiry message. Browsing the site does not require you to provide personal information.

The site uses privacy-focused analytics to understand aggregate page traffic. The contact page embeds a Google Map, which is loaded from Google and is subject to Google's own privacy policy if you interact with it.

How we use and share it

Contact details are used to respond to your enquiry and direct it to the right person or office within Thompson Daly. They are not used for unrelated marketing and are not sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes.

Form submissions are delivered to the firm by email and may be forwarded to an internal workflow so the team can respond. The website is hosted with a reputable cloud provider, which processes data on our behalf to serve the site.

How long we keep it

Website enquiries are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any engagement that follows from it. Information you provide as a client of the firm is handled under our engagement terms and professional obligations as chartered accountants, which include stricter retention requirements.

Your rights under the Privacy Act 2020

Under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if you believe it is wrong. To make a request, email richmond@tdca.co.nz or contact either office — we will respond as the Act requires.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled a privacy concern, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Questions about privacy? Email richmond@tdca.co.nz or phone either office and ask for the person responsible for privacy.
